According to the International Labour Organisation, child labour is defined as: “work that deprives children of their childhood, their potential and their dignity, and that is harmful to physical and mental development”
Due to the urgent need for financial support, children tend to drop out of school to work and help their families - their parents urge them to start working earlier rather than studying.
UNCRC supports the right of children and the end of child labour through Article 32.
